The Cave de Lugny is firmly rooted in the Mâconnais countryside and is proud of its origins and history which have made it a specialist in Southern Burgundy wines. The Cave de Lugny's wines are produced in an authentic region, home to the Chardonnay grape. Here, in the land of its birth, this mythical grape variety reveals its full potential and finest expression. Lugny therefore boasts some exceptional lieux-dits (specific vineyard areas) such as "Les Charmes", "Les Beluses" and "La Carte".
Subtle aromas of white flowers, honey or citrus… each of the wines from the Cave de Lugny reveals the unique characteristics of a particular plot of vines in the Mâconnais region.
The Cave de Lugny occupies a prominent place within the wine sector. It is the biggest producer of Burgundy wines as well as being the biggest producer of Mâcon-Villages, responsible for one third of the production in the Mâconnais. It is also a key player in the production of Crémant de Bourgogne.
